I'm your average twenty-something student. I'm in my third year of a four Computer Science degree at Aberystwyth University. My interests are in landscape photography and website design & development. I'm starting to get an interest in typography too, or at least trying to understand it! I'm currently on an industrial year placement working for the Aberystwyth University Web Team along with another IY student. We work on the website using a CMS whilst developing and maintaining web applications that implement a variety of functionality for the site such as mapping, analytics reporting and scripting to query databases.
Right now I'm developing websites for small business and talented individuals using an open source Content Management System called Silverstripe and developing unique themes for each client. My clients are largely based in Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. Shortly I'll be releasing some basic themes for Silverstripe and hoping that others will use them. The aim behind these themes is that they're flexible to be used for just about anyone and easily customisable if the end user wishes to make any.
